07 NGC 7293 Helix nebula

strongNGC 7293, Helix Nebula,Caldwell 63 /strongbr/strongPlanetary nebula /strongbr/A beautiful Planetary nebula in the constellation Aquarius one of the closest planetary nebulae to Earth at a distance of 650ly. The nebula is absolutely stunning and very much resembles an eye, perhaps the reason it is commonly known as ldquo;the eye of godrdquo;. I have seen this nebula visually a few times but was completely blown away by the result of my image. So colourful and clearly looks like an eye. The fate of our own sun will be similar to this. The death of a star leaves such beauty behind no wonder we image them. I find it interesting that planetary nebulae are all so vastly different in shapehellip;likely the result of how the stellar winds and radiation affects the distribution of gases.br/strongAcquisition details ndash; /strongbr/Imaged September 9th, 2020br/Imaged from Riverplace Park, Ayton, Ontario with my ES 80mm CF rig and Lenhance filterbr/40X180 sec lights + 25 each of darks, flats and dark flats
