M31 aka The Andromeda Galaxy

M31 aka The Andromeda Galaxy

Our closest neighboring big galaxy. This was the first image that I shot using what has become my standard technique of acquiring data one filter at a time over several nights. I have data from Ha, OIII, SII, R, G, B filters, but I only figured out how to use RGB at this point. I'll have to reprocess the data at some point.br/Imaging telescope / lensbr/ William Optics Apochromatic 81/478 mm gt81br/ Imaging camerabr/ ZWO Optical ASI 1600 MM Pro (CMOS)br/ Mountbr/ Equatorial Losmandy GM811Gbr/ Guiding telescope / lensbr/ William Optics Apochromatic 81/478 mm gt81br/ Guiding camerabr/ ZWO Optical ASI 178 MC (CMOS)br/ Filters:br/ ZWO Optical Red 1.25quot;br/ ZWO Optical Green 1.25quot;br/ ZWO Optical Blue 1.25quot;br/ Accessoriesbr/ Focal reducer Wiliams Optical 0.8br/ Lights (filter Red)8 x 180 secbr/ Lights (filter Green)18 x 180 secbr/ Lights (filter Blue)19 x 180 secbr/ Lights (filter H-alpha)5 x 600 secbr/ Lights (filter OIII)4 x 600 secbr/ Lights (filter SII)6 x 600 secbr/ Total lights integration time 4:45 hoursbr/ Processed withbr/ PixInsight (Pleiades Astrophoto) 73.0.3683.10
