Thin crescent Moon with Saturn up and to the right in the northern reaches of Scorpius and Venus down and to the left peeking through the horizon cloud.br/Location: dock at my residence near Elgin ONbr/Time and date: 2016-02-06 06:16ESTbr/Equipment and settings: Canon 60Da, 5 shot panoramabr/Planning: I had planned to catch the Saturn/Moon/Venus line shortly before dawn, then gave up the idea as it was forecast to be cloudy. However, I left the camera ready just in case. I happened to wake about 6AM to partly clear skies so hustled out with the camera with some faint hope that I might catch the event.br/Problems: exposures had to be made at just the right moment as Venus and Saturn seemed determined to clear the clouds at different times.br/Ambience: quite cold, unexpectedly early clearing shortly before dawn so it was very satisfying to get this shot.
