Location: dock at my residence near Elgin ONbr/Time and date:2015-01-16 1914ESTbr/Equipment and settings: Canon 60Da at ISO800, Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 lens at 50mm f/2.8, tripod-mountedbr/Planning: a lovely clear evening was predicted with Mercury and Venus in ideal position; it was planned to do a timelapse of the planets setting behind the trees across the bay. Images were all shot in RAW so that individual shots could be used in addition to creating the timelapse. This is just one of ~650 images.br/Problems: nonebr/Ambience: unusually clear western horizon and calm but cold conditions made for a lovely hour watching the very bright planetary pair setting in the darkening sky. Timelapse worked beautifully.
