The Pleiades (M45)

The Pleiades (M45)

strongThe Pleiades (M45)/strongbr/The Pleiades from my backyard in London ON. This is a gorgeous star cluster that you can easily see unaided in the night sky. I really love how much dust surrounds the stars and reflect their light - something you would never see without imaging them. This image is a stack of 64 x 90s subs (2h total) gathered using a Skywatcher Evostar 72ed with 1.0 field flattener on a Star Adventurer 2i mount with a Canon t6i (stock) DSLR camera at iso 1600. The equipment was guided using a ZWO 30mm f/4 guidescope with asi120mm mini guide cam. The camera was controlled with NINA, and guiding with phd2. Individual subs were stacked in Deep Sky Stacker and the final image was stretched and processed in Pixinsight.
