Globular Cluster in Pegasus (M15)

Globular Cluster in Pegasus (M15)

strongGlobular Cluster in Pegasus (M15)/strongbr/The globular cluster M15 in Pegasus from my backyard in London ON. When selecting another globular cluster for this imaging certificate program I decided on M15 since I thought it was interesting that it is one of the oldest globular clusters we know about at an age of around 12 billion years. It is also interesting in that scientists believe that it has a rare type of black hole at its centre - an intermediate mass black hole (about 4000x the mass of the sun). This image is a stack of 40 x 120s subs (1h 20min total) gathered using a Skywatcher Evostar 72ed with 1.0 field flattener on a Star Adventurer 2i mount with a Canon t6i (stock) DSLR camera at iso 1600. The equipment was guided using a ZWO 30mm f/4 guidescope with asi120mm mini guide cam. The camera was controlled with NINA, and guiding with phd2. Individual subs were stacked in Deep Sky Stacker and the final image was stretched and processed in Pixinsight.
