12A-Asteroid Movement-Pt.1

ldquo;Ceres in the Whale ndash; Pt.1rdquo;br/ When I realized that the largest of all asteroids in the Asteroid Belt (Ceres) was going to be working its way across the constellation Cetus (The Whale) over the next month, I thought this an opportune time to attempt a capture of it. This was my first such venture into asteroid observation/tracking. Given that Ceres was to track right through the ldquo;keystonerdquo; shaped head of the whale, I figured it would be easier to register a familiar star-field to show the movement of the asteroid. November was my first image, but without comparing it to a star atlas, it would be difficult to pick out Ceres.
