11 Asterism
Captured at the Lennox Addington Dark Sky Preserve on May 4, 2019, this image shows the Big Dipper pouring down celestial happiness onto the revellers gathered to mark the date (May the Forth Be With You). Several meteors flash by as my daughter lights up the scene with her red lightsaber.
Two 21 second images were blended in Photoshop to produce the sky composite with a shorter exposure used to capture the foreground. The images were taken with a Canon T5i and a Tokina AT-X PROD DX-II 11-16mm f/2.8 lens set to 11mm.
