This picture also includes M32, a small galaxy just above M31's core, and M110, another small galaxy below M31's core. I have taken many pictures of this galaxy over several decades, and this is my best one yet. My goal has been to replicate a photo by Jacques Lebreque, a professional astronomer from the 1960's that was hanging on my father-in-law's (also a professional astronomer) wall for many years.
