Barnards E

Barnards E

Easy to find: aim at Tarazed, the next bright star above Altair. Move that star towards the lower left of the horizontal field of view and Barnard's E will fill the rest of the frame. Since this dark nebula blocks the light from a rich field of Milky Way stars, it does not require a very lengthy exposure. It was quite visible on the liveview screen of the camera.br/ Date: 2021-09-08 br/ Location: Ardoch, North Frontenac, ONbr/ Equipment: Z73 + M100 unguidedbr/ Settings: 30s, ISO 6400, stack of 20 light frames, 41 dark frames, flat field and bias frames in DeepSkyStacker.br/ Processing: PixInsight for background adjustment, levels and colour, PhotoShop Elements to adjust size and add signature.
