This series of two photos was taken while visting with friends at their cottage in the Muskoka region of Ontario. br/ It was pure serendipity that the halo was spotted directly above us through the foliage. br/ I imaged it twice, once with a wide angle (13 mm equivalent on a 35 mm camera) and a longer lens (77 mm equivalent).br/ The wide angle shot shows the solar orb behind a cloud and an arc of the halo nicely framed by the treesbr/ The image in the supplemental folder is a telephoto which better displays the rainbow coloration.br/ Taken August 18th, 14:44 EDT, with an iPhone 13 Pro Max on auto (fnof;1.8, 1/5525quot; at ISO 32 and fnof;2.8, 1/2700quot;, ISO-25). br/ The images were unedited except for resizing in Adobe Photoshop Express.
