Captured on the same night as the aurora, this particular shot was the image I was intending to get that night/morning. br/ I hope to recreate this image around the same time next year with my 6D now that it is modified for astrophotography. The lighthouse shoots it's beams of light twice every 15-20 seconds. Lake Huron is the body of water pictured as this image faces east. If you look at the top right of your right hand thumb, that approximates where in the 'thumb' of the lower peninsula of Michigan this lighthouse sits.
