ISO 6400, 14mm, f/2.8, 30 secondsbr/ Canon 6D (modified)br/ Sigma 14-24mm ART Lensbr/ Location: Pointe Aux Barques Lighthouse Park, Port Hope, MI.br/ Captured November 7, 2021br/ My goal for this trip was to try and capture Orion over the Lighthouse in a similar way that I had captured the Northern part of the 'summer Milky Way' accordingbr/ to us Northern Hemisphere dwellers. Unfortunately it appears that this type of shot is no longer possible - bright yellow lights are now blaring on one of thebr/ buildings next to the lighthouse and washes out any attempt to get a shot from this angle. Dejected, I walked over to where Lake Huron stretches out beyond the horizon and took a wide field image of Orion as it rose, capturing the part of the Milky Way that runs right by it as well. When looking at the final image, I noticed a meteor on the upper left, and I believe there is a faint trace of the Witch's Head Nebula by Rigel.
