I had hoped to photograph the rising of the May 5th, 2012 Supermoon from Spencer Smith Park in Burlington, Ontario. Unfortunately, a prior commitment meant that we would be arriving at the location shortly after the moon cleared the horizon. However, when we pulled into the crowded parking lot we saw that there was a bank of low-lying cloud hugging the horizon and the moon was still not visible. This gave me a few minutes to get my gear set up for when the Moon cleared the clouds.
