This image shows details on Saturn including various cloud belt colours, the different coloured rings and a sharp planetary shadow on the rings. The goal was to capture the shadow on the rings after opposition to enhance the 3D effect of the image.
The image was taken on September 12, 2020 with an 8inch SCT, 2.5X Televue Powermate, ZWO ADC, ZWO ASI224mc. The videos were stacked in AutoStakkert!3, with images processed in Registax and Photoshop and then de-rotated and combined in Winjupos. The final image consists of 7, 3 minute images of Saturn for a total exposure time of 21 minutes.
