06 Venus Approaching Pleiades
In March 2020, Venus passed through the Pleiades. The weather didn't allow me to capture the closest pass, but on the 31st they both fit into the view of my 300mm zoom lens. Processing was a challenge with Venus so bright. In some of my longer exposure images there were extra reflections of Venus.br/Date: 2020-03-31br/ Time: 21:30 ESTbr/ Location: Central Experimental Farm, Ottawa, ONbr/ Equipment: Canon EOS REBEL T1i DSLR, Sigma 18-300 mm zoom lens, Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer tracking mountbr/ Settings: f/6.3, F=300mm, 30 s, ISO400br/ Processed in Adobe Photoshop Elements Version 12.0 to subtract a sky glow image and adjust brightness.
