Canon 30D on 0.25m f/4 Schmidt-Newtonian on a Losmandy Titan mount. This is a single shot 1/2000 s exposure at ISO200. This shot was quite difficult as this was a step back to my old DSLR after my 60Da died during the lunar eclipse in November. With no live view focusing proved challenging - I tried several techniques to get good focus, finally falling back on disconnecting the autofocus motor and using a 2X angle finder to manually focus. The best picture of the set was contrast and brightness enhanced in Gimp, slightly sharpened, and the saturation increased to better show the colour variations, primarily between Maria Serenitatis and Tranquillitatis, and in Mare Vaporum and Sinus Aestuum.br/This shot was initially attempted with the QSI583ws camera normally mounted on this scope for photometry but it was impossible to get a short enough exposure with the filters I have in the camera.
