The Triangulum Galaxy (M33)

The Triangulum Galaxy (M33)

strongThe Triangulum Galaxy (M33)/strongbr/The Triangulum Galaxy from my backyard in London ON. This galaxy is part of our local cluster and is third largest (next to the Milky Way and Andromeda). I really love photographing galaxies as the image always fills me with wonder - what has happened to all the stars and planets and possible life over there in the interim of the light travelling from there to here. So much evolution can happen in that 2.7 million years. This image was made with data collected over two nights and has a total integration time of 4h 34min. The equipment used includes the Skywatcher Evostar 72ed with 1.0 field flattener on a Star Adventurer 2i mount with a Canon t6i (stock) DSLR camera at iso 1600. The equipment was guided using a ZWO 30mm f/4 guidescope with asi120mm mini guide cam. The camera was controlled with NINA, and guiding with phd2. Individual subs were stacked in Deep Sky Stacker and the final image was stretched and processed in Pixinsight.
