Antares Neighbourhoodbr/ The Rho Ophiuchi Cloud Complex is located in the constellation Ophiuchus near the cosmic border of Scorpius within which two globular clusters appear near the star Antares. These clusters, M4 and NGC 6144, adorn this rich and colourful scene which also includes both reflection and dark nebulae. In my opinion, this has to be the most beautiful area of the night sky. From my location in Ayr Ontario, M4 rises to only 21 degrees above the horizon in the late springtime. Since I also had a tree partially blocking my view, I could only capture this object for an hour per night. After many attempts, I sifted through all of the data and was able to integrate just 2 3/4 hours of reasonable quality frames.br/ Acquisition Details: EQ6-R Pro, William Optics RedCat 51, ASIAIR, ASI2600MC, Astronmik UV-IR Block L-3 filter, 120 second subs at Gain 100. Bortle 5 skies. 2.75 hours integration time.
