The Great Globular Cluster in Hercules

M13 – globular star cluster
M 13 is a spectacular cluster of stars in the constellation Hercules. Globular star clusters are amazing deep sky objects, containing hundreds of thousands of stars that are tightly packed together, they form a ball-shaped structure that is over 145 light years in diameter. It’s also estimated to be around 11.65 billion years old, making it one of the oldest objects in our Milky Way galaxy. This was much different to process than the normal images of nebulae that I was used to but I’m happy with how this came out.
