M94 haRGB

M94 haRGB

M94 is an unusual galaxy with its subtle outer ring and structures. I saw it as a challenge to image, so realizing that the outer ring would require more than my normal integration, I set to work to capture 15 hrs 35 min of total integration (3 hrs 18 min Ha).
M94 isn't known for a lot of Ha but, in order to capture what is there, I decided to use an Ha filter for a few hours at least. The RGB exposures were 180 sec and gain 100, -10C, while the Ha exposures were 240 sec, also gain 100 at -10C.
RGB: ASI2400MC Pro, WO FL156mm. Ha: ASI2600MM Pro with an Antlia 3.5 nm Ha filter
