Zodiacal Light

Zodiacal Light

My eyes had adjusted to the darkness and when I looked west toward Jupiter I saw subtle light extend like a fog toward Jupiter. The waning crescent moon hat set about 25 mintes earlier. I shot several extended exposures because the light was dim and i recalled that zodical light can be tricky to capture. Not only did I capture the zodical light but Jupiter and M31 too!. This being said, it was a stunning eveing with little breeze and low humidity for a change. The previos week was awful weather (snow, sleet, rain) and a previos session here was messy with thawing snow and near freezing temperatures. Every breath let out a clod of fog. But not this night. Frankly, I was in awe and couldn't wait to get the shot.
