Moon close-up showing craters

Moon close-up showing craters

This is one of eight photos I took of the moon, intending to create a mosaic, detailed image of the moon. If I want a closer image of craters I always create a movie and stack the images (see below). Above Mare Crisium I can clearly see detail in Cleomedes (such as Rima Cleomedes), Burckhardt, and Messala. The craters near the edge in high relief such as Condorcet and Berosus make this an interesting part of the moon to shoot.br/ br/ August 30, 2015.br/ Camera Canon EOS Rebel T1ibr/ Speed 1/4000 seconds, ISO 3200br/ Telescope 8rdquo; Sky Watcher Astrograph Newtonian, Tele Vue Powermate 2Xbr/ Celestron CGEM mountbr/ Port Mouton, Nova Scotiabr/ Minor increase in contrast using Canonrsquo;s Digital Photo Professional
