Gibbous-Venus-(Stacking)

Gibbous-Venus-(Stacking)

  • This was one of the most difficult images for me to capture. It introduced me to the importance of timing in astrophotography. I spent multiple sessions trying to capture Venus at this time of year, but due to its position, it was only visible for 30 mins right before sunrise. I was very excited when I was finally able to set everything up in time and was looking at the horizon as it slowly moves up into view. It was interesting as Venus was extremely bright. I had to turn my iso almost all the way down (compared to Jupiter and Saturn) even at dawn.
