This image shows a sunset with striking purple hues. This colour may be due to volcanic aerosols from Raikoke or Ulawun, as both eruptions sent material into the stratosphere, which then drifted thousands of kilometres. On August 28, 2019, I took this photo in Edmonton, Alberta, using a Canon 5Ds and an 18-35mm lens set to ISO 100, ƒ/1.8, and 1/250-second exposure.
