August's Perseid meteor shower easily ranks among the year's most favourable meteor showers. On August 12, 2021, the shower reached its peak, producing over 60 meteors per hour, as observed from a location east of Edmonton. This composite image includes many Perseid meteors along with a few members of other showers and sporadic meteors. The long bright meteor in the lower right even left behind a persistent train. I assembled this composite image in Affinity Photo using images captured with my Canon EOS 5DS and Sigma 20mm F1.4 DG HSM | A set to ISO 1600, ƒ/1.4, and 10.0 s seconds.
