Had just acquired my Canon XT-i and wanted to test it on the sky. While at the Mt. Kobau star party this field with both emission and reflection nebula was a test of capabilities. The planet Mars provided a bright source for saturation tests. Here we have Mars passing two deep-sky objects - open cluters Hyades and Pleiades.
