Movement of a planet
The 1st shot shows Jupiter and Mars as they were located in early 1989 in Taurus. A star filter helps identify the bright planets easily, even on this old insensitive film. Almost 12 years later, the second picture show the motion of three planets! Jupiter has completed one orbit and is close to where it was 12 years earlier. Mars has left the field of view but now Saturn takes its place.
