Vesta 2001 (picture showing movement of a planet or asteroid)
The asteroid Vesta was positioned very nicely in the constellation Leo. In May 2021, it was going through the hind end of Leo near the triangle made up of Denebola, Chertan and Zosma. One of the challenges at the time was to get clear nights to get pictures. The three pictures were taken with the same settings. It appears, there may have been slight differences in the 50mm setting, since it was a 24-105mm zoom lens. This became apparent when I tried aligning the pictures for the compilation and saw the artifacts from trying to blend. It was exciting to be able to capture and asteroid moving through the sky!
