Location: from the dock at my residence near Elgin ONbr/Time and date: 2013-03-05 23:30UTbr/Equipment and settings: Canon 30D at ISO1600 with Canon 10-22mm f/3.5 lens at 10mm f/3.5, 6 x 30s stacked with Siril and processed in Photoshop CS4.br/Planning: wanted to keep the exposures shortish to avoid trailing but take several exposures that could be stacked to get better S/N; the dock is frozen in the ice so is a suitable platform for imaging.br/Problems: slight light pollution created a coloured gradient which had to be removed from the final imagebr/Ambience: dark but hardly quiet - the ice was booming and snapping and zipping throughout the hour or so that I was on the dock
