Perseus Double cluster
Double Cluster in Perseus
NGC 869 and NGC 884 – open star clusters
Considered another gem in the night sky is the double cluster of stars known generally as the Double Cluster in Perseus. Very easy to locate between Perseus and Cassiopeia, it’s high enough in the northern sky to be visible almost the whole year from my location. I love the balance of two open clusters so close to each other, filling the frame completely and full of dazzling colourful stars.
