Taken on May 14, 2019 in Port Coquitlam, BC. I had originally hoped that this would be the final component of a composite image documenting the approach to the inferior conjunction with Venus over the spring of 2020. But the sporadic photographs that I was able to take on rare interludes between incessant storms on the soggy west coast of Canada primarily documented my slowly improving astrophotography skills. Hence, I pared back my earlier ambition to this single image. this was my first successful attempt at using Registax to process multiple images. Capture details: Prime focus image taken with a Celestron NexImage 5 camera through a Celestron 8” Edge HD telescope on an Advanced VX mount, further information unfortunately not recorded, sharpening and minor adjustments in Photoshop.
