This photo captures a near-conjunction of the Moon and Venus as observed at 21:09 on July 15, 2018. The view from the upstairs window of my house looks over a neighbour’s roof to the skies over Vancouver. Fortunately, the two objects were high enough in the sky when I took the picture to escape the more severe light pollution closer to the horizon.
