The scene is looking west, Venus is very bright in the sky, and lights of a gate to White Sands Missile Range are on the horizon. A couple of bonuses in this image are two other planets, Mars and Uranus. Mars is bright and to the upper left of Venus. Uranus is very faint and the INDEX image shows its location.
