In our photography club we judge images on "wow" factor, technical quality, and obvious, clear and sharp subject. This image is a total failure on all accounts - until an explanation makes it out-of-this-world. Jack Newton's shot with a similar camera and scope was sharper and with better detail on the sun's surface. Was this due to a location high on the hill, filters, technique, or...?
