Unravelling the Cocoonbr/ IC 5146 is both a reflection and an emission nebula located in the constellation Cygnus. This colourful object lies within a sea of dark nebulosity in widefield captures. I decided to pursue a zoomed in perspective that focused on the pink and magenta gas emanating from within the cocoon. The unique pink colour in this target has always fascinated me. Not sure how well this image would turn out, I was impressed with the detail contained within the stacked image.
