The kit lens used is not friendly to this sort of work, given its small maximum aperture. Going into this session, I did not realize that 30 seconds of exposure (the max permitted by the internal timer of the camera) would not be enough to produce detailed, noise-free images. I learned that overcoming this problem will require new gear or a creative approach to post-processing./span
