The Rosette Nebula

Caldwell 49 – emission nebula
This is one of my all-time favorite targets to image and process, the Rosette Nebula in HOO with the gorgeous central star cluster NGC 2244, located in the constellation Monoceros (The Unicorn). The stars look like small pearls sitting on a silk pillow. I never get tired of this object and plan to image and re process it many more times to come.
