M101 the Pinwheel Galaxy in HaLRGB
This time I have collected additional integration time in Light frames using a mono camera and combined the RGB data from previous OSC camera. Processing was a challenge and I think this is the best I can get this time. I like the red color nebulosity a lot.
Camera: L and Ha - ASI294MM-P; Filter: 2" Optolong L and Ha
Camera: RGB - ASI294MC-P
Darks, Flats applied to each filter and camera
Integration time: L: 8 hours of 180s subs; Ha 2.5 hours of 300s subs; RGB 14 hours of 180s subs.
The Pinwheel Galaxy (M101) is a face-on spiral galaxy 21 million light years away from us in the constellation Ursa Major. It has about a trillion stars.
