Moon & Pleiades

Moon & Pleiades

This was taken July 23, 2022 at 03:09 ADT with a Canon EOS RP mounted on a tripod from Starboard Drive, Bedford, in front of my apartmentbr/ The shot correctly exposed the portion of the moon lit by earthshine and some of the mare are discernable. br/ The brighter stars of the asterism are also seen at these settings. br/ The waning crescent part of the moon is overexposed, being lit by the sun which will rise in another two hours. br/ 1/5 second at fnof;7.1 ISO 1600, 105 mm FL br/ This degree of magnification makes it similar to a binocular view.br/ I have a wider angle view of this that includes Mars (see 05 Moon Pleiades B in the supplemental images)
