Venus and Mars Slip Below Jupiterbr/Here we have two images taken 3 days apart from the same location, within a few feet, at the David Dunlap Observatory in Richmond Hill, Ontario. In the first image, Jupiter sits between Venus, above and to the right, and Mars, below and to the left. Three days later, Jupiter remains pretty much unmoved but Mars has slipped below the star just above it (sigma Leonis), which was well below it three days earlier. And Venus has now dipped just below Jupiter.br/Taken Oct 23 and 26, 2015, 6:10 a.m. and 6:50 a.m. local time, respectively. Both images taken with a Canon 6D and Rokinon 14-mm f/2.8 lens. First image was 8s @ ISO 1600. Second was 4s @ ISO 3200. f stop not recorded. Manual mode. Raw files.
