Partial Solar Eclipsebr/This is a handheld cell-phone capture of the partial solar eclipse visible in Toronto on October 23, 2014 as the sun was setting. The image was cropped to cut out some of the distracting flares and the result captures what we saw that evening from the Bayview Reservoir in Markham, Ontario. Trees and power lines are visible as the sun was barely above the horizon, but the sunspots were captured.br/Taken 23 October 2014 at 7:15 p.m. local time.
